Gun Rifle Season Rates

Wilderness Camp

Rifle Season begins September 20th, 2008 and runs through October 31st with Type 1~ Any elk tags. (Type 2 tags are valid until November 6th.)

First Rifle Hunt: Arrive at the Lodge September 18th, pack in September 19th, Fish, relax, Start hunting September 20th. Depart high camp September 26th, Lodge stay included September 26th, depart Lodge September 27th. 9 nights with 6 days hunting.

Second Rifle Hunt: Arrive Lodge on September 26th, Pack in and start hunting September 27th, Depart High Camp October 3rd, Lodge stay included October 3rd, Depart lodge October 4th. 8 nights with 6 days hunting.

Price $4500 for first and second hunts two hunters to one guide.

One on one hunts week 1 & 2 are $5200

Third Rifle Hunt: Arrive Lodge October 3rd, Pack in and hunt October 4th, Depart High Camp October 10th, Lodge stay included October 10th, Depart lodge October 11th. 8 nights with 6 days hunting.

Fourth Rifle Hunt: Arrive at Lodge October 11th, hunt October 12th through October 17th Depart Lodge October 18th. 7 nights with 6 days hunting.

Fifth Rifle Hunt: Arrive at Lodge October 18th, hunt October 19th through October 24th. Depart Lodge October 25th. 7 nights with 6 days hunting.

Sixth Rifle Hunt: Arrive Lodge October 25th Hunt October 26th through October 31st. Depart Lodge November 1st. 7 nights with 6 days hunting.

Price: $3800 one guide per two hunters

One on one hunts $4500

 

 

 

Rifle Information

We will have targets for you at the Lodge to verify your rifles accuracy before we go hunting. We recommend a minimum of .270 Win caliber, the most important thing is the ability to place your bullet properly. Bring at least 2 boxes of the exact same ammunition you intend to hunt with and have used to sight in your rifle. We provide rifle scabbards for use on your saddle animal.

Great camp food breakfasts served before dawn including such favorites bacon, pancakes, french toast, eggs, biscuits and gravy, cold and hot cereals, juices, hot chocolate and always the coffee pot is on.
wall tent Sleeping Tents with comfortable cots with foam pads, wood stoves, lanterns, and plenty of room to relax.
packing on mules Packing In on horses and mules bring all the gear, food, and you~ accompanied by your guide. A fun experience with unbelievable scenery.
340 class bull

One of the best elk taken in 2007 was harvested on October 18th. Shots usually are less than 200 yards.

We recommend bringing good binoculars to help your guide spot the animals.

A $500 deposit holds your spot until you get your tag. A 35% deposit is required within 14 days of getting your tag with the balance due upon arrival.
